Synopsis
The universe of the Pastores da Noite (shepherds of the night) is inhabited
by prostitutes, priests, bums, shamans, and street peddlers.
By very Brazilian people who fight to survive every day and only count on
the mutual spirit and friendship of each other.
The seducer Cabo Martim (Eduardo Moscovis), the romantic Curió (Matheus Nachtergaele),
the noble Massu (Lázaro Ramos), the cunning Pé de Vento (Luís Carlos Vasconcelos)
and the teacher Jesuíno (Tonico Pereira) live their adventures in four independent
episodes.
Filmed on location in the steep streets of Salvador, Pastores da Noite
calls on an exceptional cast: Fernanda Montenegro is the madame Tibéria;
Camila Pitanga, the sensual Marialva; Leandra Leal is Otália, the romantic prostitute;
Danielle Winits, the trickster Beatriz, and Rodrigo Santoro is a priest
who becomes the accomplice of the five streetwise friends.
