Daude Born in Bahia as Maria Walderlurdes Costa de Santana Dutilleux, she was called Daúde by her younger brother who could not pronouce "Walderlurdes". Daúde descends from one of the founding fathers of the Timbalada movement. Her musical style blends repente, a predecessor to rap, with a funky version of MPB.
